Hay fever

Hay fever, also known as seasonal allergic rhinitis, is an inflammatory condition affecting the inner nasal passages that is triggered allergens such as pollen, dust, mould or fungal spores). It is an extremely prevalent condition, affecting an estimated 1 in 5 individuals in the United Kingdom. Typical cold-like symptoms of allergic rhinitis include sneezing, itching, and a stuffy or congested nose. However, in contrast to a common cold, the symptoms of hay fever are not attributed to a virus.
